For their strong focus on corporate governance and accountability, Keppel Telecommunications & Transportation (Keppel T&T) received recognition at the sixth Singapore Corporate Awards held on 21 July 2011.
Committed to a cleaner and more sustainable future, Keppel T&T takes a long-term approach in designing its data centre facilities so that it balances eco-conservation meeting customers' service level requirements. Its efforts received industry recognition when Keppel Datahub received the Green Mark Gold award at Singapore's Building and Construction Authority Awards Night.
For its steadfast efforts to provide eco-friendly and energy-efficient services to clients, Keppel Datahub received a 'green' stamp of approval from the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore on 31 March 2011. That makes Keppel T&T one of the seven pioneering data centre operators to successfully achieve the new SS564 certification.
On 16 March 2011, Keppel T&T's new completed Nanhai Distribution Centre in Foshan, China, was graced by a visit from Keppel Corporation's senior management. Signaling their commitment and full support of eco-conservation, the management planted a tree which adds to the greenery of the distribution centre.
Integrating the core competencies across the Keppel Group, Keppel T&T and Keppel Land formed a joint venture company on 25 January 2011 to consolidate their data centre assets, positioning the business for further growth.
