In line with its growth strategy to be the leading third party logistics company in the Asia Pacific region, Keppel Logistics is doubling its warehouse facility at 44 Benoi Road to meet the increasing demand for customised logistics services.
Refurbishment and redevelopment works for the 44 Benoi Road facility have started with completion expected in the second half of 2011.
In phase one of the expansion, a new facility will be constructed alongside the existing warehouse space which will be redeveloped in phase two of the plan. When completed, the new warehouse will double its capacity to just over 200,000 sq ft and equipped with modern amenities.
Mr Pang Hee Hon, CEO of Keppel Telecommunications & Transportation (Keppel T&T), parent company of Keppel Logistics, said, "The redevelopment of our 44 Benoi facility will provide the additional warehousing space that is needed to grow our businesses in Singapore and the region.
"This new facility also provides us the platform to contribute to the growth of our customers' verticals, such as those in the retail sector."
Constructed in 1973, the 44 Benoi warehouse is the oldest amongst Keppel Logistics' three facilities in Singapore. The redeveloped facility will synergise operations with Keppel Logistics' two other facilities in Singapore, all of which are in close proximity to one another.
Apart from Singapore, Keppel Logistics also operates world-class facilities in China, Malaysia and Vietnam. Together, these facilities offer one-stop, integrated logistics solutions that help clients manage their entire supply chain - from the inbound movement of raw materials to the delivery of finished goods.
