Winners of the Singapore Corporate Awards 2012 (SCA) have been honoured not merely for fulfilling statutory and regulatory requirements but for going beyond with voluntary disclosure in safeguarding the interests of their stakeholders.
Keppel Land was presented the Gold Award for Best Annual Report and the Silver Award for Best Managed Board (market capitalisation of $1 billion and above) while Keppel Telecommunication & Transportation Ltd (Keppel T&T) received the Bronze Award for Best Investor Relations (market capitalisation of $300 million to less than $1 billion).
The award ceremony was graced by Guest of Honour, President of Republic of Singapore, H.E. Tony Tan on 17 July 2012 at The Ritz Carlton Hotel, Millenia Singapore.
"In a challenging environment, the marketplace places greater value on integrity, transparency and accountability. Building corporate governance takes effort. The winning teams and their captains deserved to be recognised and emulated," said Ms Yeo Lian Sim, Chairperson, SCA Main Committee and Chief Regulatory and Risk Officer of Singapore Exchange.
SCA, organised by The Business Times with the support of Singapore Exchange, comprises five awards for Best Managed Board, Best CEO, Best CFO, Best Investor Relations and Best Annual Report. Winners are decided by panels of distinguished judges drawn from the business and academic fields.
