Keppel Telecommunications & Transportation (Keppel T&T) held a work commencement ceremony on 31 May 2013 for its Tianjin Eco-City Integrated Logistics Distribution Centre (TECIDC), the company's first project in North China.
Located on a 2.8-ha land plotwithin the Eco-Industrial Park of the Tianjin Eco-City (Eco-City), TECIDC will feature 13,000 sm of modern warehouse space when it is completed in the first half of 2014.
TECIDC is strategically located to serve major industries in the Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area and Hangu district of Tianjin. It is also well-connected to key air and sea gateways, allowing it to support the growing need for high-end integrated logistics services in the area.
In line with the Eco-City's vision to be a model of sustainable development, the TECIDC will be fitted out with energy-efficient features and state-of-the-art management systems that maximise utilisation of resources such as warehouse space and vehicles.
