International exchange

Keppel continued to foster strong ties with external and internal stakeholders through visits and dialogues to exchange ideas, share knowledge and explore collaborations.

Vietnam dialogue

On 26 March 2015, Mr Thomas Pang, CEO of Keppel Telecommunications & Transportation (Keppel T&T), hosted a Vietnamese delegation led by Mr Phung Quang Hung, Chairman of Vinh Phuc People's Committee, as part of an investment promotion trip for Vinh Phuc Province.

Given Keppel Logistics' established presence through more than 60,000 sm of warehousing capacity in Vietnam, Mr Phung was keen to tap on Keppel Logistics' capabilities for further development in the province.

Keppel Logistics has extensive experience in third party integrated logistics in Vietnam through its subsidiary, Indo-Trans Keppel Logistics, which recently marked the commencement of operations at its newest distribution centre in Vietnam Singapore Industrial Park 1 in Binh Duong Province.

Risk ready in China

Keppel Corporation's Group Risk Management (GRM) engages the Group's business units to regularly exchange learnings and ensure risk readiness.

In March 2015, Mr Tay Lim Heng, Director of GRM, led a team to visit Keppel T&T's river ports in Foshan, China, including Sanshui Port, Lanshi Port, Nanhai Distribution Centre and Wuhu Sanshan Port.

The Keppel Logistics China team, led by CEO Mr Vincent Ko, held in-depth discussions with GRM on lessons learnt, business opportunity risks and areas for improvement.

Mr Tay said, "These site visits allowed GRM to gain a deeper appreciation of the operating environment, business challenges and risks faced for ongoing and future developments."
