With a global footprint spanning across industries and more than 30 countries, Keppel regularly hosts visits to its facilities as part of continuous efforts to engage the investor community.
INSIGHTS INTO LOGISTICS
Keppel Logistics welcomed visitors from the private banking group Bank Julius Baer to its warehouse facilities at 7 Gul Circle on 20 August 2015. The visit provided the visitors an overview of Keppel's logistics businesses and included a robust question and answer session with Mr Desmond Boo, GM of Keppel Logistics Singapore.
The guided tour took the delegates around Keppel Logistics' publishing and cold room warehouses as well as its Automatic Storage and Retrieval System. Having witnessed firsthand the clockwork operations at the facilities, the visitors left impressed with Keppel Logistics' supply chain capabilities and use of precision technology to maximise operational productivity.
Leanne Sim, Associate Director, Marketing and Communications, South East Asia, Bank Julius Baer, remarked, "The tour was really insightful and you could tell that the delegates were very curious about the logistics supply chain
business by the number of questions they posed. I am glad that they had the opportunity to go on this tour."
DATA CENTRE DIALOGUE
Data centres are buildings with strict access control and customer confidentiality clauses. On 4 September 2015, Keppel DC REIT Management held its inaugural group investors' site visit to Keppel Datahub 2, giving investors a rare glimpse into the inner workings of a data centre's operations.
The customised facility tour took investors to Keppel Datahub 2's operations centre, providing a bird's eye view of the entire data centre operations as well as a ‘mock-up' data centre suite.
The green features of Singapore's first newbuild BCA-IDA Green Mark Platinum-certified data centre were also showcased, such as its Diesel Rotary Uninterruptible Power Supply System and slanted condenser water pipe design, which left the investors convinced of Keppel's data centre expertise and focus on sustainability
