Keppel Logistics has won its inaugural SPARKS Award at the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) U SAFE Awards 2016, held at the Devan Nair Institute for Employment and Employability on 16 May 2016.
Mr Desmond Boo, GM, Business Development at Keppel Logistics, received the award on behalf of the company f rom Mr Patrick Tay, Assistant Secretary General, NTUC and Chairman, Government Parliamentary Committee for Manpower. Mr Boo said, “One of Keppel’s top priorities is to nurture a strong safety culture. We want to foster a shared sense of ownership and responsibility among our employees. We are heartened that our efforts have been recognised and we will continue to set benchmarks in workplace safety and health excellence.”
The NTUC U SAFE Awards, now in its second year, recognises organisations that proactively refine and improve workplace safety and health practices through training, skills upgrading and adoption of industry best practices.
